Aug 13, 2010 — We were very pleased to cook for Dr. & Mrs Swidler and four of their guests on Tuesday August 10th as the winners of the Westchester Land Trust Fund Raiser Dinner hosted in Albano Appliance's live Sub Zero~Wolf Kitchen.

Jul 02, 2009 — Congratulations to the winners of the second auction dinner to benefit the Westchester Land Trust.
Bernard & Lisa Seltz, and their four guests, will be enjoying dinner prepared by Chef Jehan S de Noüe at Albano Appliance's live Sub Zero~Wolf kitchen. The evening will start off with a varied selection of hors d'œuvres followed by dinner.
Pavé of Wild Salmon Adriane - poached in organic beet & orange reduction, finished with a late harvest Gewürztraminer-citrus beurre blanc.
Suprême of Crispy Sweetbreads - with wild mushroom & crème fraîche reduction in puff pastry.
Locally Farmed Roasted Filet Mignon with Château Sauce - turned Yukon gold potatoes & locally grown seasonal vegetables.
Ethereal Chocolate Mousse - with pistachio cream & fruit coulis

Networking Event/Fundraiser for J.I.M.M.Y. Foundation
May 05, 2009 — Albano Appliance and Service and Westchester County Home Improvement Magazine (Thornwood, NY) will host a fundraiser and industry networking event on Thursday, May 28th from 6-8 pm. The event will be held at Albano Appliance and proceeds will benefit the J.I.M.M.Y. Foundation, Inc. a local organization that assists children with life-threatening illnesses and/or injuries.
A wide variety of food will be prepared "live" on the very latest in indoor and outdoor cooking equipment. Attendees will have opportunities to meet with home improvement industry experts, potential customers and representatives from appliance manufacturers such as Alfresco, Bosch, Gaggenau, GE, Lynx, Miele, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking and Wolf. Several local businesses will also be on hand to showcase their wares, including Plum Plums (Pound Ridge, NY), Silpada Designs (South Salem, NY) and Wave Hill Bakery (Wilton, CT). The suggested donation is $25 per person.

Annual BBQ Event

Wednesday May 6th at 6 PM is the first of our two annual BBQ event.
Alfresco & grill master Matt will be here with his live display trailer. We will also feature & cook on Lynx, Evo outdoor griddle, Viking outdoor kitchens & Kalamazoo hybrid grills
We will be serving Cajun rotisserie organic chickens & beer can chicken, BBQ pork, grilled pizza with duck confit & vegetarian pizzas. Grilled vegetables & hanger steaks, corn on the cob, grilled potatoes & grilled fruit.
Hawaiian shirts are optional; having lots of fun & sampling lots of food is highly encouraged!

Fundraiser for Library
Apr 20, 2009 — Albano Appliance & Service and Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate (Pound Ridge, NY) will host "A Taste of Pound Ridge" on Sunday, May 17th from 4-7 pm at Albano Appliance's showroom and the adjoining real estate offices. The event is sponsored by the Pound Ridge Business Association and will benefit the Hiram Halle Memorial Library's renovation fund.
Attendees will be able to sample signature dishes from local culinary talents, including Albano's, DiNardo's Ristorante Italiano, North Star Restaurant, Pinocchio Pizza, Plum Plums, Samuel Parker's Deli, Scotts Corner Market and Tokyo Hamachi Restaurant. In addition, the adjoining offices of Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate will hold a silent auction on special items donated by members of the Pound Ridge Business Association and the community.
The donation for the event is $25 per person ($35 at the door) and $10 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Pound Ridge Library Foundation for the renovation fund. If you did not receive a form in the mail, reservations can be made by mailing in the form published in the April 18th issue of The Country Shopper or by calling Joyce at Albano Appliance at 914-764-4051.
