Apr 30, 2008 — Albano Appliance and Service, LLC (Pound Ridge, NY) and Westchester County Home Improvement Magazine (Thornwood, NY) hosted a fundraiser and industry networking event to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation® of the Hudson Valley. A wide variety of food was prepared "live" on the very latest indoor and outdoor cooking equipment from manufacturers such as Alfresco, Kalamazoo, Lynx, Miele, Viking and Wolf. Several vendors also generously provided samples from their businesses, such as cheese from Plum Plums (Pound Ridge, NY), Argentinean beef from Natura Foods (Kingston, NY), bread from Wave Hill Bakery (Wilton, CT) and cigars from Chief Catoonah Tobacconists (Bridgeport, CT). Outdoor plantings were provided by Nature Scapes (Armonk, NY) with landscaping performed by Anderson Landscaping (Pound Ridge, NY). The event also featured live music by local classical guitarist, Daniel Hallford (Pound Ridge, NY).
